Your Health is Your Greatest Asset—And It’s the One Thing You Can Truly Control.
Health means different things to different people—physical, mental, emotional—and as a chiropractor, I’ve come to appreciate how deeply connected these facets are. Each plays a vital role in how we live, move, and feel. But I didn’t always know that. My journey to discovering true health was anything but linear—and it’s shaped how I care for others today.
It all began in the fall of 2007 when I started college at Missouri Southern State University (yes, I’m originally from Missouri!). I told my advisor I wanted to become an animal chiropractor. His response? “Let’s put that on the back burner and look at more practical options.” So I enrolled as a Pre-Med Biology major with a Chemistry minor, still unsure of my path.
In 2010, I joined a shadowing program at a free clinic to explore different healthcare careers. I observed physicians, nurses, and dentists—many encouraged me to pursue dentistry for the income, but I wasn’t driven by money. I wanted meaning.
Then one day, I was assigned to shadow the clinic’s chiropractor. I didn’t fully understand what chiropractors did—even though I had once dreamed of becoming one for animals. That day, at 19 years old, I received my very first chiropractic adjustment.
That single adjustment changed everything.
I felt a sudden release of pressure—almost as if my brain had taken a breath I didn’t know it needed. I was amazed that something so seemingly simple could have such a profound effect. I needed to learn more. So I asked if the doctor was hiring—and he was.
I spent the next year working at the front desk of his practice, hearing story after story of patients reclaiming their health and lives through chiropractic care. I was hooked.
In January 2012, I enrolled at Texas Chiropractic College in Houston. That’s where I truly discovered what health meant. Chiropractic wasn’t just about backs and necks—it was about treating the whole person. We were taught to understand the body’s intricate systems and how to help them work in harmony. The deeper I dove into the philosophy and science, the more I knew this was my purpose—not just for animals, but for people.
I graduated in April 2015, excited—but unsure of exactly how I wanted to practice. My journey took me to many places: Asheville, North Carolina (where I learned how to serve high volumes of patients with precision), St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands (where I learned I’m definitely not an island person!), and then back to Texas, where I practiced in Austin, Denton, Dallas, Frisco, and now—Plano.
Every step, every patient, and every experience helped shape me into the chiropractor I am today.
I feel incredibly fortunate to be called to this work—to help people uncover the true cause of their pain, restore their vitality, and unlock their full potential. Whether you’re seeking relief from chronic issues, looking to optimize your nervous system, or simply want to feel and function better in your daily life—chiropractic can help.
