Dr. Robert Bender
Dr. Robert Bender’s path to chiropractic care is deeply personal. A lifelong athlete from Long Island, his perspective on health changed forever after suffering a traumatic brain injury. When conventional treatments offered little relief, it was a precise upper cervical adjustment that finally made the difference. This powerful experience inspired his mission to help others heal naturally through targeted neurological care.
Dr. Bender earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Sherman College of Chiropractic in South Carolina, where he developed a specialization in upper cervical care—a technique focused on the top two vertebrae (C1 and C2) and their critical role in brainstem and nervous system function. His practice is particularly suited for individuals dealing with concussions, head trauma, and unresolved neurological challenges—patients who often feel overlooked or misunderstood.
At Catalyst Chiropractic, Dr. Bender brings together clinical precision and personal empathy to deliver a neurologically driven approach that targets the root cause of dysfunction, not just symptoms. Every patient begins their journey with a comprehensive consultation, postural screening, and upper cervical imaging. Unlike many traditional chiropractic offices, Dr. Bender does not perform an adjustment during the first visit. Instead, he carefully analyzes each patient’s data to craft a tailored care plan.
When treatment begins, adjustments are gentle, focused, and highly specific to the upper cervical spine. Dr. Bender also examines the rest of the spine for compensatory imbalances, ensuring long-term stability and optimal nervous system function.
