Health: A Simple Concept

Your body and all its organs are governed by the nervous system. Nerves extend from your brain, travel down the spinal cord, and connect to every organ, including the heart, lungs, and even your skin. As these nerves leave the brain, they pass through an opening called the foramen magnum at the base of your skull. This essential pathway plays a crucial role in maintaining your health.

Daily activities, whether they involve physical exertion, chemical exposure, or emotional stress, can impact your well-being. These stressors may cause the foramen magnum and the upper cervical vertebrae to become misaligned. Such misalignments place direct pressure on the vital connection between the brain and spinal cord known as the brainstem. This pressure, often referred to as interference, disrupts the body’s ability to control and coordinate all its functions.

Upper cervical care can address a wide range of health issues. The upper cervical spine encompasses the base of the skull down to the third cervical vertebra. This region includes the first and second vertebrae, called the Atlas and Axis. These two bones are the most mobile in the spine and protect the lower brainstem—a critical nerve pathway between the brain and the body that includes the medulla, pons, midbrain, cranial nerves, and supporting arteries and veins.

The Atlas and Axis are essential for a healthy nervous system. Upper cervical care enhances health by correcting misalignments in these vertebrae. Conditions that can benefit from this care include headaches, head and neck pain, ADD/ADHD, Parkinson’s disease, visual disturbances, pain disorders, cervicogenic hearing loss, digestive issues, and more.

If you or someone you know is struggling with these issues and hasn’t found effective solutions, please contact our office for assistance.

  1. Excellent Upper Cervical Office

It’s rare to find medical providers who actually care about their patients and understand how to treat the patient.. This is not the case with Twin Valley Upper Cervical Chiropractic!

Excellent care from the moment that my family & I began with them about 10 years ago. Their knowledge, attention to detail, and understanding where a patient is, and explaining their situation to us in a clear concise manner that we actually understand. They truly understand upper cervical care and are honest.

I am very picky and research providers that I use. I cannot say enough great things about this practice. I have referred others to them as well and all have the same great experience.
Thank you! Keep up the great work
